Morning Warm Up- Fall Yoga

Join Alaina Patton for this 60-minute morning session to start your day with gentle flow yoga. Alaina is passionate about helping our community find beauty and comfort through trauma-informed yoga.
The first hour will be yoga practice and for the last 15 minutes, Alaina will guide you through journaling or meditation whichever you’re comfortable with doing.
Morning yoga practice can calm you down. It helps improve mental focus and concentration. When you control your breathing, your brain gets loads of fresh oxygen. This will increase your mental clarity and ensure that you are prepared for work and can give your full attention and work with maximum efficiency.
Classes are currently scheduled in person. Due to limited capacity, there are only 10 spots available. Please bring your own mat.
This activity should be considered complementary to and not a replacement for traditional Evidence-Based Therapy or counseling.
Alaina was reintroduced to yoga through a colleague who shared her story of how she decided to become a Trauma Informed Yoga Teacher. It wasn’t a decision of “if” but “where” because she knew it felt right. After researching a local Trauma Informed training program and a lengthy call with the studio she had found online, she committed with her whole heart and head. Through the training she found beauty and comfort in an ancient practice that woke up so many aspects of her life. During the training, she found herself reconnecting to her body and unlearning the expectations of what life was supposed to look like as a working parent and trauma survivor. After leaving corporate life, she has dedicated herself to bringing movement back into others lives so they can work towards healing and reconnecting to their bodies as they are today.
