Broken Bowl Project

Our bowl represents who we are as humans- sometimes we are broken and need to be put back together. We will break our bowls, and then paint the outside shards of the bowl to remind us of who we are on the outside. We will then choose phrases and quotes to write on the inside of the bowl to represent the hidden parts of us.  We will then glue our bowls back together.

This idea derives from the 15th-Century practice of kintsugi, meaning “to join with gold,”  which is a reminder to stay optimistic when things fall apart and to celebrate the flaws and missteps of life.
